We meet multiple times a week for (Bible) studies and Pub Theology.
Parables and Stories of Jesus
Campus Edge’s current study series is on the parables of Jesus along with other stories from the gospels. We are delving into the series asking the questions: Why were these stories so controversial? How they are relevant to us 2,000 years later? All are welcome to join and participate in the studies!
Monday Study: 7:00 pm
Saturday Study: 6:00 pm with a homemade dinner, study at 7:00 pm
November 26: Jesus casting out the demon (legion) into the pigs (Mark 5, Matthew 8, Luke 8)
November 19 at 7:00 pm: We’ll be attending the Community Thanksgiving Service at University United Methodist Church instead of having a study at the CEF house. This is a worship service sponsored by the Interfaith Clergy Association of Greater Lansing, featuring keynote speaker Imam Sohail Chaudry. Click here for the Facebook event!
NO MEETING NOVEMBER 24 (because of Thanksgiving)
December 1, 3: Jesus and the Syro-Phoenician or Canaanite woman (Mark 7, Matthew 15)
December 8, 10: Jesus’ sending out the disciples to not bring peace (Matthew 10).
Bible studies are held on Monday and Saturday evenings at the Campus Edge house at 1518 River Terrace Dr, East Lansing, MI.
During the fall and spring semesters, Campus Edge has two studies that meet weekly. Monday evenings focus more on intellectual inquiry and Saturday evenings more on building community.
Campus Edge hosts Pub Theology at The Peanut Barrel on Tuesday evenings at 8:30 p.m.
It is a chance to talk about spiritual things, voice questions, and learn from others who might be/think differently from us. Follow us on Facebook to get regular updates about the weekly questions.
